Michael D. Wandzilak
CEO · Principal Developer · U.S. Navy Veteran
In 1982, a kid in Fort Lauderdale got a Commodore 64 for Christmas. Within a year, he'd written his first video game. He was thirteen. Nobody told him he was supposed to wait for a degree, a title, or permission. He just built the thing because he wanted to see if he could.
That kid hasn't stopped building since. From the Commodore to bulletin board systems in the early ’90s to hand-coding HTML when “web design” meant Notepad and a prayer — Mike has been at this longer than most agencies have existed. He served in the U.S. Navy, came home to Florida, and poured everything he'd learned about discipline, precision, and doing the job right into the craft he'd loved since he was thirteen.
On July 8, 2008, he founded Wandzilak Web Design with a simple conviction: a website should be functional art. It should work well, reflect the business behind it, and make an impression on the people who visit.
Nearly two decades and 450+ websites later, Mike is a recognized leader in SEO and SERP management. He has built websites for security firms, top chefs, software companies, crypto startups, dental practices, and hospitality brands, and he still personally art-directs every pixel that leaves the studio.
He also runs Magic Wand Hosting, the studio’s managed hosting company, founded in 2010. Its clients include cybersecurity firms that work for U.S. defense and federal agencies, and a government-funded Canadian agency that signed on only after strict vetting, 16 years ago, and has stayed ever since. In an independent security audit, Magic Wand Hosting scored 100%.
Mike’s latest work is agentic AI. In the past year alone he has built more than a dozen AI agents for the studio and its clients, including a study companion for a medical-education platform, three agents for a marketing agency, and HeyKoda.ai, a voice-controlled desktop assistant whose first version took 28 days. The studio’s own agent, Koda, works on client sites every day, taking change requests by email and checking the live site before she reports back.
“Mike is walking proof that computer science is not just a science — it is an art.”

Long-Term Client Relationships
Many clients have worked with us for more than a decade. We keep those relationships going through responsive support, clear advice, and continued care for their websites.
Accessible, Well-Tested Websites
We use semantic markup, accessible design, and performance testing to make sites easier to use and maintain. Mike’s Navy experience helped shape the care and discipline he brings to that work.
Learning and Building
From a Commodore 64 in 1982 to an AI assistant in 2026, Mike has kept building and experimenting. We evaluate new tools by how well they serve the project and the people who will use it.
